SHAH ALAM - The Live Nation website has crashed when pre-sale tickets for British rock band Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres World Tour", went live.

Checks by Sinar Daily showed an error message that read 'error: rate exceeded' after clicking on the 'Buy Now' section.

The website was supposed to open for pre-sale tickets for CIMB Bank cardholders at 10 am and the queue started at 9 am today.

One worried fan, @castawayloki, tweeted: "They should’ve asked for the CIMB card digits before entering the queue so random people can’t access it. What kind of presale is this?"

There have been no further updates or official statements released from Live Nation regarding this matter at press time.

This will be the British rock group's debut performance in Malaysia and is set to take place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on November 22.

The band pledged to reduce carbon dioxide emissions for the current tour by 50 per cent compared to their global tours in 2016 and 2017.
