HULU SELANGOR - Hulu Selangor MP Hasnizan Harun revealed that he has not received any allocation from the federal government since he was appointed as a Member of Parliament in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Hasnizan said the same situation is faced by all MPs from the opposition.

"Time flies fast enough today May 19 2023 is exactly six months since I was entrusted by the people of Hulu Selangor to lead Hulu Selangor.

"During these six months, me and my fellow Opposition MPs have not received a single cent from the Federal government," Hasnizan shared in Facebook post on Friday. According to him, the situation makes it difficult for him to exercise his duties to the people efficiently and to help them. "Too many people have come, sent letters to ask for donations. Some of them clearly need help.

"I can only help to the best of my ability. That's why my friends and NGOs also help me.

"May Allah SWT give strength to us the Opposition MPs to continue serving the community," he said.

In the meantime, Batang Kali State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Coordinator, Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad said, his party is ready to set aside political differences and work together to complete the application for donations for the well-being of the people of Batang Kali.

"I am not the person that is qualified to talk about what is happening at the Federal level but what caught my attention was the welfare and needs of the people of Batang Kali.

"With two months left in my term in office, I intend to sit at the same table with him to review applications that can be resolved together.

"Help in the form of donations and urgent small repair works still have allocations that can be adjusted at my level," he said.

He is confident that the invitation will not be rejected by Hasnizan for the good of the people in Batang Kali.

"For the record, there are many similar applications that have been and are currently being examined at the DUN Coordinator's office.

"Nevertheless, all these contributions and allocations are subject to the relevant processes and procedures," he said.
