SHAH ALAM - DAP chairman Lim Guang Eng has expressed happiness as two roads in the country have been renamed after DAP leaders.

The Bagan MP via Twitter, congratulated DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke for naming a street in Negeri Sembilan after DAP founder the late Dr Chen Man Hin.

"Bravo to Anthony and Teo Kok Seong for successfully getting this done. Dr Chen's family will be honoured.

"Negeri Sembilan under Anthony joins Penang as the only two states with roads named after DAP party leaders," Lim wrote.

Teo is the state exco member for Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government and New Villages.

On Feb 15, it was reported that Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun announced that the two major roads in Negeri Sembilan will be renamed after prominent leaders who have greatly contributed to the state.

Jalan Sikamat was renamed to Jalan Datuk Sheikh Mohd Murtadza Ahmad, who is also a former Negeri Sembilan Mufti, and Jalan Temiang was renamed to Jalan Dr Chen Man Hin.

Previously, when Lim was Penang chief minister in 2014, he had renamed the IJM Promenade in Lebuh Sungai Pinang to Persiaran Karpal Singh in honour of the DAP leader.
