KUALA LUMPUR - DAP secretary general Anthony Loke reminded Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that DAP helped him win the Pagoh parliamentary seat in the 14th general election (GE14).

The Transport Minister also said that the former premier was able to win the seat because of the support he had received from Pakatan Harapan (PH) voters.

"He may have forgotten, he used to be with PH, of course he used to campaign for DAP and PH.

"In the same way DAP had campaigned for him in the Pagoh Parliament, if PH voters did not vote for him, it was impossible for him to win because GE14 was won with the support of PH voters as well," he said.

He said this in response to Muhyiddin, who is also Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, who has expressed that he is confident of winning the support of at least 70 per cent of Malay voters in the upcoming state polls.

Loke said Muhyiddin's 'big talk' is only going to disappoint him after the state election, which is expected to be held in July.

"That's his (Muhyiddin's) view, his way of campaigning, any party can say anything.

"The important thing is that the decision makers are the people, so anyone can talk big, but I think people who talk big will usually be disappointed," he told the media at the parliament lobby on Monday.

Last Saturday, Muhyiddin said it was unusual for an Umno leader to call for the support of the party members to cast their votes for DAP in the state polls.

He also claimed that the votes couldn't be transferred from Umno to DAP based on a study carried out by Bersatu on previous elections.
