SHAH ALAM - Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has criticised the leadership of the Unity Government, claiming that they are manipulating secondary school students and firefighters into watching the film 'Anwar: The Untold Story'.
The Bersatu Youth chief said the action seems to reflect the government's desperation in spreading political propaganda.
"What has happened? Why are schools students and firefighters urged to watch the movie? Is it okay to deliver political propaganda to students and civil servants in this way? Not everything in the movie is true.
"Back in the days, during former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's leadership there was nothing like this for the late Tun Abdul Razak Hussein's biopic film 'Tanda Putera'," he said.
Recently, the Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek had invited students from SMK Putrajaya Presint 5(1) to watch the film.
The matter was stated in a letter issued on Tuesday.
At the same time, a letter was also issued to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department on May 19 inviting firefighters to watch the free screening of 'Anwar: The Untold Story' in Putrajaya.
