SHAH ALAM - Sinar Harian, through a new programme called "Bilik Gelap" (Dark Room), aims to reveal the chronology of sensational, tragic, and high-profile cases that have garnered widespread attention and coverage in the country.

Its Group editor-in-chief Zamri Rambli said the programme will be broadcasted on all Sinar Harian platforms on Friday and will feature exclusive interviews with victims or ex-offenders who have been involved in crimes, allowing them to recount the crimes they had committed.

"Retold based on a true story, the Bilik Gelap programme aims to educate and enlighten the community in this country.

"Each episode of the programme delves into specific cases, including syariah, international cases, and completed criminal investigations," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday.

Bilik Gelap is scheduled to air once a month on Fridays at 10 pm.

Zamri said the concept of Bilik Gelap involves conducting interviews with guests who will be provided with a white mask to wear.

"The mask is the identity of Bilik Gelap. The guests' information and identity are kept secret and their voice is changed," he said.

Commenting on the challenges faced in producing the reports for Bilik Gelap, Zamri said it was difficult to get cooperation from certain individuals who were still experiencing trauma, shame, and self-doubt.

"However, there are still individuals who dare to reveal exclusive confessions on Bilik Gelap with the aim of bringing awareness towards the community.

"Viewers can catch Bilik Gelap on all Sinar Harian's social media platforms," he said.
