Woman killed in crash after car flips on the side

KOTA TINGGI - Senior citizen killed after her car lost control before flipping over on its side of Jalan Perani, Bandar Seri Perani on Friday evening.
The Operations Commander from the Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Station Senior Fire Officer II Mohd Rafi Mohd Nor said he received an emergency call on the incident at 7.05pm.
He said eight personnel from the Fire Rescue Tender and an Emergency Service Support Unit were sent to the scene.
“The accident involved a Proton Wira that crashed on the shoulder of the road. There were two victims Muhammad Syukur Osman, 30, who was slightly injured, and an injured elderly woman Asmah Kental, 64," he said in a statement on Sunday.
He said that both victims were removed by members of the public before the fire department arrived and they provided initial treatment to the victims.
Medical officers, he said, attended and gave treatment to the woman immediately on location but she was later confirmed to have died.
He added that the rescue operation ended at 8.24pm.
