Karangkraf published almost seven million copies of Quran in 10 years

KUALA LUMPUR - Karangkraf Media Group through its subsidiary Grup Buku Karangkraf has published almost seven million copies of the Quran in 10 years for domestic and international use.

There are 50 types of publications of the Quran which received the Board of Control and Licence of Al-Quran Printings (lPPPQ) approval by the Home Ministry and it also came in various themes and sizes.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said the publication included the Mushaf Quran, verbatim translation Quran, Quran Tafsir Bil Hadis, Quran Tafsir of selected verses, Muslimah Quran, memorisation Quran and The Noble, which is an English translation of the Quran.

“I would like to congratulate Grup Buku Karangkraf for successfully publishing more than seven million copies during a period of 10 years.

“Karangkraf Media Group, through the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) also carried out the "Read, Understand, and Practice Quran" campaign.

“In cooperation with Sahabat Al-Quran, WUIF established free Quran classes through Rumah Ngaji and Quran Corner, which reached thousands of participations throughout the country," he said after officiating Grup Buku Karangkraf’s Karya Bestari's 10th Quran anniversary ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2023 (PBAKL) at the World Trade Centre (WTC), here, today.

He added that the latest My #QuranTime programme on several television stations was recorded at the My #QuranTime Studio at the Karangkraf Complex in Shah Alam which was well equipped which helped people learn the Quran with the reading and memorising methods.

The Quran, Na’im said is the main and important source of reference of Islamic teachings as human beings’ actions could never be separated from the scope of the Quran.

Also present during the event were Karangkraf Media Group advisor Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub and its chairman Firdaus Hussamuddin.

During the ceremony, surah Al-Alaq has been chosen as the focal surah and the recitation of the surah was led by Fazrul Ismail, Tarmizi Abd Rahman, and Tirmizi Ali.
