The quality of journalism in Malaysia is admirable

SEREMBAN - Jelebu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias described the quality of journalism in this country as excellent.
He said it was a proud development and can be clearly seen as Malaysia is placed at 73rdin the World Press Freedom 2023 index released by tReporters Without Borders recently.
"It reflects the world of journalism that is sincere, clean, accurate and courageous, and all of us Malaysians, as consumer of these media, are very proud of them for achieving this ranking.
"Moreover, I was made to understand that this is the highest position that Malaysia had ever achieved," he said in a Facebook post
He said without these media practitioners, the people will not be able to receive the latest, authentic and comprehensive news reports
"I would like thank these unsung heroes who sometimes take high risks in delivering news reports
"Thank you to alljournalists and media practitioners who have helped me a lot, directly or indirectly, over the years.
"I am taking this chance to wish Happy National Journalists' Day (Hawana) 2023," he said.
