53 per cent satisfied with the political stability of the Unity Government
KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 53 percent of respondents made up of all races are satisfied with the political stability of the Unity Government under Prime Minster Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's leadership.
A research conducted by Endeavour-MGC involved 1,068 respondents of various races and 791 Malay respondents that were selected by stratified random sampling.
From the result of the research, a total of 45 percent of Malay respondents were satisfied with the political stability whereas only eight per cent from a group comprimising of all races and four percent from the Malay group stated they were very satisfied.
"Regarding the effort to eliminate corruption, 48 percent from the all races group and another 43 percent of Malay respondents said they were very satisfied.
"Meanwhile, 64 percent of all races group were satisfied, 10 percent were very satisfied, 17 per cent were dissatisfied, five percent were very dissatisfied while the remaining four percent ticked the 'I don't know' option for the question of dealing with religious issues.
"A total of 57 percent from the Malays group were also satisfied with eight per cent being very satisfied, dissatisfied at (24 per cent), very dissatisfied (seven percent) and don't know (four percent)," based on the findings from Endeavor-MGC research published on Wednesday.
In the meantime, the study also found that 49 percent and 47 percent of all races and the malays group respectively were satisfied with the overall performance of the Unity Government on climate change and environment matters.
At the same time, as many as 44 percent of respondents of all races and 39 percent of Malay respondents agreed with the decision of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) to form the Federal Government after the last General Election (GE).
The public opinion survey was conducted from April 4th to 18, with a margin of error between three and 3.5 percent based on the number of registered voters in the Peninsula, as of June 2022. - AWANI
