PHNOM PENH - The National wheelchair basketball squad wants to ensure that they are able to bring home at least a bronze medal through the men's 3x3 event at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games (APG) here, tomorrow.

Team coach Lim Ming Lip said Malaysia, who face the home team, will have to show courage in front of the opposing team to ensure they do well.

"The game played at the group level today was under pressure probably because there are new players. They also made some mistakes but they can still improve.

"Tomorrow's strategy will definitely change because we have already met Cambodia in the group stage today so they can already read (Malaysia's game) and the line-up may also change," he told Bernama here today.

Malaysia won two of the four group-stage matches today, defeating Cambodia 12-6 and Indonesia via sudden death 2-0.

However, Malaysia had to accept defeat when they were beaten by Thailand with a score of 18-12 and lost by a slim margin to the Philippines 7-8 and finished third in the group stage.

Thailand will meet the Philippines in the final tomorrow.
