KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Pas is confident that it will be able to maintain its leadership position in the state in the upcoming State Election (PRN) despite facing a two-cornered competition after BN and PH formed a partnership.
Its secretary Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said the confidence came from people's acceptance of Pas' fight so far.
"We are ready and just waiting for the PRN drum to be hit (state assembly dissolution)," he said when contacted on Wednesday.
According to him, the distribution of all state assembly seats involving the party with the PN coalition has been fully completed.
"Kelantan PN is now in the best mood to face PRN. We don't want to know about the seat distribution between BN-PH which has been completed.
"What is important is that we are ready to face them," he said.
The media previously reported that Kelantan Umno had reached an agreement with its coalition partner PH to contest in at least 31 out of 45 state legislative assembly seats.
This was revealed by the state party head of information Datuk Zawawi Othman after an agreement with PH was reached - with PH only fielding candidates in 14 state assembly seats.
