Suspended Umno members share same fate as those sacked - Shahril

SHAH ALAM - Suspended Umno leaders would share the same fate as those who have been sacked from the party, as there were no clear guidelines set.

This was revealed in the 'Keluar Sekejap' programme hosted by former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and former Umno Information chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan which was broadcast today.

For the first time, conducted in front of a live audience, Khairy asked Shahril whether those who were suspended were given conditions of what was allowed and disallowed during the suspension.

In responding to this, Shahril expressed that there were no such specifications.

"There is none (guideline)... It's like being left hanging in the air. It is the same as being sacked," he said.

Khairy while smiling, however, said it was not the same.

Earlier on the podcast, Khairy asked Shahril whether he had received an invitation to attend the ongoing Umno General Assembly, considering Shahril's membership was only suspended as opposed to the former, who was sacked.

Shahril said there were no official invitations besides those reported in the media.

"Just like what has been reported, come and buy new 'sampin'.. but there is no invitation or WhatsApp message," he added.
