KUALA LUMPUR - Umno Supreme Council is open to suggestions from delegates to bring back members who have been sacked or suspended from the party.

However, its president, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Umno has its own constitution and rules that need to be followed before re-admitting sacked or suspended members.

"In regards to party discipline, we know that the supreme council and the disciplinary board do their jobs professionally. They are open to this.

"The supreme council has always been open to suggestions from delegates to accept members who have been subjected to disciplinary action," he said in his closing speech at the 2023 Umno General Assembly at Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTC) today.
