Wee resigns as MCA Johor Bahru division chief

Wee, the Ayer Hitam MP says he is handing over the baton to the newly elected chairman chosen by the party members to shoulder the responsibility.
He said this in his Facebook page, today.
The Ayer Hitam MP said he is handing over the baton to the newly elected chairman chosen by the party members to shoulder the responsibility.
"My political career has not always been smooth and I have faced challenges and ups and downs in politics to reach where I am today.
"Since joining this division, my friends from the Johor Bahru division have always supported me. No matter how far or high I climb, the MCA Johor Bahru division will always remain my home," he added.
He had served the Johor Bahru MCA division for 30 years, 15 years as its secretary and another 15 years as the division leader before quitting the post today.
Wee said his supporters have witnessed many significant moments in his life, including his marriage and becoming a certified engineer.
"Many friends from this division have shared significant events with me until I was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the party," said the former transport minister.
He further expressed his appreciation to everyone for their cooperation. "Thank you for your support and encouragement all this while," he said.
