SEREMBAN - Perikatan Nasional (PN) admits they are hoping for 'something' from former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said Khairy had yet to make any formal decision, but had informed that he choose to be with PN.

"As of now, he has yet to decide where he wants to go, but he remains with us (PN). There was a meeting with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (Bersatu president) with Khairy and our leaders have met him.

"Recently, meetings were held and we understood that he (Khairy) will continue to become a voter in Negeri Sembilan. That is a good development," he said when met after a talk held here on Saturday.

He said Khairy surely needed a suitable platform for his political future and PN suited him best.

"Being a senior leadership suddenly sacked from a major party, surely he (Khairy) needed a suitable platform and PN is the most suitable platform for him," he said.

The media previously reported Khairy had announced that he would meet with Muhyiddin next week.

Without revealing details, the former Rembau MP said the meeting was for him to give his finalised decision believed to be in relation to his offer of joining the party.
