National women's football player Intan Sarah Anisah Zulgafli scored her first goal in the United States Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) today.

The 23-year-old striker, better known as Intan Serah, brought back the New York Dutch Lions FC's (NYDL) faith in the game when she scored a goal in the 84th minute as they were losing 1-3 to New York Athletic Club (NYAC) at the LIU Sports Complex.

Despite being the supersub, Intan had contributed to the team by posing a threat to the opposing team's defence during the match.

Intan also proved her ability to compete on the same level with opposing players as she managed to score a goal despite getting pushed around roughly.

"Thank you everyone for believing in me," said the player, who wore jersey number 10.

Previously, Intan became an international sensation when she became the first Malaysian to play in the United States League.
