KOTA BHARU - "My instructions are clear!" asserted the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when speaking to over 1,000 civil servants at the Lundang Islamic Centre Hall, here today.

He said that every instruction given is aimed at the benefit those in need.

"I have never ordered an action to be taken against anyone except those with attitude problems.

"Engaging in destructive behavior, looting wealth, and then seeking to defend such actions and associated groups is unacceptable," he said at the Prime Minister's Special Mandate to Kelantan Civil Servants Ceremony, today.

Anwar further urged them to refrain from appointing family members and cronies and cautioned against taking commissions.

"When they got arrested, charged and prosecuted, then they would say it is a result of political motivations or influences," he said.

Therefore, he wants the leaders of federal and state civil servants to govern the state in a manner that instills trust and confidence.

"Carry out your responsibilities with courage regardless of rank and title whether it involves Tan Sri or Datuk Seri," Anwar said.

At the same time, he also explained about the increase in electricity subsidies for the T20 group with the intention of assisting those who are less fortunate or the B40 group.

"Starting this year, we will cancel the subsidy for the rich but the people will not be affected including civil servants, farmers and fishermen.

"I do not intend to raise any taxes that affects the people but I have to raise taxes on the rich," he said.
