SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN)'s top leadership will resolve issues of seat overlaps between parties for the upcoming state polls, including seats in Selangor.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the matter will be brought to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also PH chairman, and BN chairman, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, for a decision.

Amirudin, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice president, said besides Selangor, there were also a few seats in Negeri Sembilan, Penang, and Terengganu that needed to be finalised by the top leadership.

"I believe the PKR president and Umno president will finalise the remaining unresolved seats since the discussion between BN and PH (at the state level) has concluded," he said during a special press conference today.

On Sunday, it was reported that there are still two Selangor state seats that have yet to be distributed among PH and BN for the polls.

Amirudin, who is also Selangor PH chairman, confirmed that the Selangor state assembly will be dissolved this Friday after Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah grants consent.

He also added that the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) will continue to cooperate with PH in the upcoming state election, just like in the 15th General Election (GE15) last November.

Amirudin however, said the PH Presidential Council will decide on seat distribution to Muda for the state election.
