SHAH ALAM - Batu Tiga assemblyman Rodziah Ismail is ready to make way for a new face to replace her in the Selangor election.

Rodziah said that a new face is needed as successor for the state government.

According to her, the space also allows her to concentrate on her duties as the Member of Parliament for Ampang which began after winning the 15th General Election (GE15) last year.

"In the recent branch meeting, they expected both assemblymen to stay, namely Najwan Halimi (Kota Anggerik) and me in the Batu Tiga seat.

"Since becoming a member of Parliament, my duties have increased. The work in Parliament is also a lot.

"Whatever it is, we leave it to the leaders to decide. The important thing is that the two seats remain PKR's (Parti Keadilan Rakyat)," she commented on her post ahead of the polls.

Yesterday the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah acceded to officially dissolve the state assembly on June 23.

She said that several names had been submitted to contest including qualified young candidates.
