SHAH ALAM - Muda and PH negotiations for the upcoming state polls have not even started yet, says Muda Information Chief Luqman Long.

Due to that, he asked Selangor Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari stating "Muda will continue its cooperation with Pakatan Harapan in the upcoming state election" as misleading.

"This statement is false, untrue, and represents the personal perception of the Selangor Chief Minister," he said in a statement.

Luqman further said: "Until today, there has not been any negotiations between Muda and PH on strategic cooperation, seat allocation or on seats.

"I believe that the statement made by the Chief Minister is clearly intended to mislead voters and shows a lack of respect towards Muda," he further said.

He added that any matters related to Muda's state election affairs will be announced only by Muda and PH.

Yesterday, Amirudin was reported saying that PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) have almost finalised talks on seat allocation for the Selangor state election, adding that the alliance between PH and BN will likely win the two-thirds majority in Selangor.

On involvement of Muda in the seat talks, Amirudin said that the PH presidential council will decide, as both parties were partners in an electoral pact during the 15th general election.

Muda had applied to join PH in September last year and are still awaiting for a reply.
