Influencer teacher deletes TikTok contents after netizens tag minister

SHAH ALAM - A private school teacher who had posted a video of herself going through her students’ school bags on TikTok has deleted all of the contents on her account.

This was following criticisms and threats she allegedly received from social media users, with some tagging Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek in the post, urging the latter to investigate the matter.

The teacher came under fire after she posted a video of her going through the backpacks of her students in what was believed to be a spot check she carried out.

The video sparked outrage among social media users who viewed it as unacceptable behaviour and that it was improper for a school teacher to broadcast a spot check on social media.

National Chegu Bard charged with making seditious, defamatory remarks
The charge is framed under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act 1948 and punishable under the same law which provides a maximum fine of RM5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding three years or both if convicted.
