KUALA LUMPUR - Perikatan Nasional (PN) has confirmed that it will contest all 245 seats of the State Legislative Assembly seats in the upcoming state elections in six states.

Its chairman Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin said Pas will be contesting in 126 seats, Bersatu 83 seats, and Gerakan 36 seats.

"PN will be compete in all 245 State Legislative Assembly seats, comprising 36 seats in Kedah, 45 seats in Kelantan, 32 seats in Terengganu, 40 seats in Penang, 56 seats in Selangor, and 36 seats in Negeri Sembilan.

"Bersatu will contest in 83 seats, Pas in 26 seats, and Gerakan in 36 seats," he told a press conference after chairing the PN presidential council meeting at the party headquarters today.

In a related matter, Muhyiddin highlighted that the election machinery of PN at the state level is operating at its highest capacity.

"The PN election machinery is fully engaged and committed to facing the state election, with the objective of defending three states (Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah) and capturing three states (Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan)," he added.
