SHAH ALAM - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke states that any provocative statement against a coalition partner in the Unity Government is not in line with the current stance and direction of the party.

He said Tony Pua's speech which seemed like an attack to the main coalition partner in the Unity Government should have not been put out.

"I am referring to a media report that quoted a speech by Tony Pua in an event organised by Petaling Jaya DAP.

"Tony Pua no longer holds any position in DAP.

"So, he speaks in an individual capacity and does not at all represent the party leaders," he said on Facebook on Saturday.

On Friday, former Damansara Member of Parliament from DAP Tony Pua 'suddenly' called Barisan Nasional (BN), which is now with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Unity Government, a 'corrupt coalition’.

The former DAP publicity secretary voiced the statement while speaking at a DAP Fundraising Dinner at the Petaling Jaya City Hall compound with the same label also thrown at Bersatu.

Loke also reminded all DAP leaders and members to always maintain a harmonious relationship between parties and coalitions in the Unity Government for political stability, which was much needed when the country faced various external challenges.
