KOTA BHARU - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is still open to receiving any decision from Khairy Jamaluddin regarding its offer to join Bersatu and the opportunity to be involved in the state elections

PN Secretary General, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said he was of the view that the offer was enough to be made once to the former Rembau MP.

"If he (Khairy) is playing tug-of-war, it's okay; for me, if the president (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) says it once, then that's enough.

"Whether he accepts it or not is up to him," he told reporters after speaking at the Himpunan Pakat Pertahan and Election Machinery Launch at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here on Saturday.

Previously, Muhyiddin admitted offering Khairy a position in the Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council if he wanted to join the party.

Muhyiddin then revealed that the offer was presented to Khairy after the former Health Minister was dismissed from Umno last January.

The media then reported that Khairy seemed to give the impression of rejecting the offer during his meeting with Muhyiddin last Monday.

He, however, said he would reconsider the offer at Muhyiddin's request.
