ALOR SETAR - Jerlun Umno Youth has urged DAP to apologise to BN and sack former DAP publicity secretary Tony Pua who declared BN as a 'corrupt coalition'.

Jerlun Umno Youth chief Nazri Arshat said despite realising that the BN-Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition was fragile and could break at any point, Pua continued to act rudely and slandering BN.

He said BN previously was open and willing to cooperate with PH to form the unity government under the orders of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah after PH failed to gain a simple majority in forming the government post GE15.

“It is important for the BN-PH government to instill unity in the people, thus rebuilding the economy and image of the nation on the world stage.

“However, Pua acted in reverse of the goals and did not think about cracking the Malaysia Madani unity built by BN-PH, but giving a bad image for the coalition ,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

Nazri said DAP should not have allow its party to be tarnished by a rude leader such as Pua.

“If DAP does not act by sacking Pua from the party it means that the party agrees with the statement of its former publicity secretary and this would indeed create a negative perception towards the BN-PH cooperation.

“Not to mention this issue is happening ahead of the elections, it will have a negative impact on BN-PH’s image and reputation in the future,” he said.

“Thus, I urge DAP to apologise to BN and take actions to sack Pua from the party before its too late,” he said.
