Kelantan football fans are up in arms after it was discovered that its football players’ salary had not been paid for at least two months due to lack of performance. Should payments for athletes be held for ransom as punishments?

Where does the value of an athlete stand in Malaysia and do they not deserve respect just as people in other industries? What can be done to improve the sports industry and environment? Where does the law come into place for athletes in the country?
