SHAH ALAM - Denying any connection to the individual who made derogatory comments about the health of Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, clarified that the person named Zaki Yamani had no affiliation with him or the Prime Minister's Office.

Shamsul Iskandar revealed that although Zaki Yamani had previously served as the Secretary of PKR during his leadership of the youth wing in 2007, it held no relevance or significance in any official capacity.

"Therefore, the allegation of any connection is completely baseless and should not be sensationalised without proper evidence," he sai in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Earlier, the Twitter user had made disrespectful remarks about the recent health conditions of both Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Meanwhile, Abdul Hadi, who had been admitted to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) ward, was discharged and allowed to return home at 2pm this afternoon.

The news of his release was announced by Abdul Hadi's son, Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi, in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday.

Shamsul Iskandar, in his capacity at the Prime Minister's Office, had already reached out to Abdul Hadi's family through his son as soon as news of his health spread.

"Thankfully, our communication has been good, and we are receiving regular updates on Tan Sri Abdul Hadi's condition.

Earlier, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed his disappointment with the individuals spreading gossip about Abdul Hadi's health condition and demanded that the social media user apologises for their post.
