KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Police will hold a meeting with the Election Commission (EC) and the Election chairman soon in preparations to face the state election.

State police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the meeting was to assign cases throughout the election.

"Previously we held meetings periodically with the EC. From the information obtained we will streamline the work.

"We don't want an overlap of duties, we want it to work harmoniously according to their respective jurisdictions," he said in a press conference on Tuesday.

He said the experience during the 15th general election (GE15) must be made a guideline in improving the weaknesses approaching the state elections.

Zaki said whether the Kelantan Police will use all their forces including the police volunteer team and the General Operations Team (PGA) to serve during elections, remains to be seen
