Thank you MCA, MIC for being loyal to BN, says Umno Youth
SHAH ALAM - Umno Youth Leadership expressed its appreciation to the leadership of MCA and MIC for remaining loyal to Barisan Nasional (BN).
Its chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh who is also a member of the Merlimau State Assembly, hopes that the loyalty between the BN component parties will be maintained for a long time.
"Thank you, MCA and MIC, for the loyalty and friendship from the beginning, now and, God willing, forever. This is our house, and we need to fix it together.
"We must now compliment each other, complete each other, and respect each other. Stay as friends," he said in a post on Facebook on Saturday.
Previously, the media reported that Perikatan Nasional (PN) did not mind giving seats to MCA and MIC to compete in the next state election if the two parties left BN.
This matter was raised by PN Elections director-general Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, who also suggested that MCA and MIC join the coalition, in which they would offer seats for candidates to contest in the mixed seat in the upcoming polls on Aug 12.
