SHAH ALAM - "Someone who is 'gila talak' can be included in a group pf people with mental problems."

'Gila talak' is a term used by primarily in a Malay Muslim society meaning desperate to get back at one's ex spouse till you go mental.

This was the sarcastic remark made by Umno Youth Chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh in response to former Umno Secretary-General Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who claimed that a party had lost its identity by inviting leaders from other parties to give speeches during a retreat.

In a mocking tone, Dr Akmal also expressed gratitude for the views expressed by the Muafakat Nasional Chairman (MN), who has now become a member of Pas.

"May Tan Sri be given good health and happiness with the new party," he said in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday.

Earlier, Annuar, in a statement on his Facebook page, said that the action of a party inviting leaders from other parties to deliver speeches and provide directions indicated a chronic sense of inferiority.

He stated that it is a psychological illness when someone starts to lose self-confidence.

"It also shows that the party is no longer leading, but being led. It bows down to other parties," he claimed.
