GEORGETOWN - A woman's body was found in a drain at Medan Pantai Jerjak, Bayan Lepas, here, today.
Bayan Baru Fire and Rescue Services Department Operations Officer Senior Fireman II (KUP) Muhamad Amin Mat Masli said he received the call from public at 11.45am.
He said they rushed to the scene and found the body of a woman faced down in the large drain area.
Firemen lifting the woman's body to be handed over to the police for further actions.
“Investigations found the victim in her 60s had died. The body was floating.
“We lifted the body out of the drain and handed it over to the police for further action,” he said in a statement.
Operations ended at 12.33pm.
