SHAH ALAM - The rift in the unity government, especially between Umno and BN, are just a matter of time before voters decide in the upcoming state polls.

Bersatu Information Chief Datuk Razali Idris said the public could no longer stand the rhetoric of the current government blaming past leaders and governments.

"They keep digging up the problems of the past, but what can the public gain from them doing so?

"Voters can see how the Perikatan Nasional (PN) leadership has given hope and clear directions.

"That's why MCA and MIC withdrew themselves; even Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) did not directly come down to the ground; they had to be urged by the Umno president himself," he said in a statement on Thursday.

He said MCA and MIC's decision not to contest in the elections was a clear sign of a strong rejection of BN, which ultimately impacts Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He said it was clear that MCA and MIC were realistic and understood the current situation, especially when the public was struggling with the current economic uncertainty.

"Umno is still seen as having a 'denial syndrome, and DAP is simply waiting for the blame game after the rejection of Umno BN.

"The public's choice still places high hopes for Bersatu and their political partners in the PN.

"PN is currently the best platform. Power at the state levels is a big start for us to take over the central government in the 16th general election (GE16), maybe even earlier," he said.
