Bioeconomy Corp appoints Dr Lee Boon Chye as new chairman
KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation (Bioeconomy Corp) has appointed Dr Lee Boon Chye as its new non-executive chairman, effective July 11, 2023.
In a statement, it said Dr Lee has assumed the post which was vacated by Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid who retired on Dec 16, 2022.
Dr Lee has a vast and notable experience primarily in the medical sector, and is currently a resident consultant physician and cardiologist at KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital, it said.
Previously, he had served as Malaysia’s Deputy Health Minister from 2018 to 2020, and was also the Gopeng member of Parliament from 2008 to 2012.
