IPTA student dies after falling from the 4th floor of a condominium

SHAH ALAM - A student from a public higher education institution (IPTA) was found dead, believed to have fallen from the fourth floor of a condominium in Section 7 here on Saturday.

District police deputy chief Superintendent Ramsay Anak Embol said that the victim was a 23-year-old local woman.

"The incident occurred at around 5:47 p.m. at a condominium believed to be occupied by the woman in Section 7.

"Initial investigations revealed that the victim is believed to have fallen from the parking area on the fourth floor of the condominium," he said in a statement on Saturday.

He stated initial investigations conducted at the scene did not find any criminal elements.

"No criminal elements were found during the investigation.

"Based on interviews with the victim's sister, it was revealed that the victim had been experiencing emotional distress and received mental health treatment most recently on July 10 at Shah Alam Hospital," he said.

According to him, the victim's body was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for post-mortem examination.
