ALOR SETAR - Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has offered his full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in the investigation into the theft of rare earth elements (REE) in Bukit Enggang, Sik.

Sanusi said he was open to being investigated by the MACC or any other authorities, and that he would welcome any party to contact him at any time.

"You can investigate 25 hours a day, eight days a week. You can contact me through WhatsApp if I can’t answer a phone call," he said.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the commission had called 12 witnesses in the case so far, and that their statements had been recorded.

He said Sanusi was among the witnesses who would be called to assist in the investigation.

MACC on Wednesday arrested the Kedah Menteri Besar Incorporated CEO and company director to aid investigations on corruption and misuse of power in the mining of REE involving corruption of over RM13 million.
