SHAH ALAM - Lawyer-activist Siti Zabedah Kasim has raised concerns over an alleged attempt on her life after a suspicious device, believed to be a bomb, was discovered underneath her car.

The incident came to light when she took her vehicle to a workshop in Bangsar, KL, for service, BFM News reported.

It is believed that the incident occurred in Bangsar, KL, at a car service center.

In a live video streamed on her Facebook account, Siti said she had sent her car to a workshop to be serviced on Friday morning and was informed that there was an object attached under her car.

"I sent my car this morning for service as I'll be driving to Kelantan for a court case this Sunday.

"After I left my car in the service centre and went for lunch, I received a call from the workshop saying that they had a suspicious-looking device under the car," she said.

In the video, Siti said the object was attached to one of the car's tyres, describing it as being in a plastic bottle filled with wires that looked like a bomb.

The mechanic informed that the object looks as if it was newly attached to the car, she said.

"The mechanic said that it looks like it is newly attached to the car and is waiting for a long drive to get heated," she said.

Siti further said that she became aware of the device only after she sent the car to the workshop.

"The bomb was placed behind a car tyre, about whose existence I had no clue," she said.

The police today confirmed that an object placed in Siti's car is believed to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
