Helicopter crashes in Subang, all on board safe

PETALING JAYA - A fire and rescue department helicopter with seven people on board crashed during a test flight this morning.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysian (CAAM) said all those on board, including the pilot were reported to be safe and in stable condition.

The Leonardo S.p.A AW189 helicopter is said to have crashed at the apron of the UniKL MIAT Hangar near the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport about 11.52am.

In a statement on Facebook, CAAM chief executive officer Captain Norazman Mahmud said investigations are ongoing by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau under the Transport Ministry in accordance with Part XXVI Civil Aviation Regulations 2016.
