JELI - The Kelantan Information Department (JaPen) will be implementing 200 programmes throughout the state to boost the National Day and Malaysia Day 2023 celebrations.

Kelantan JaPen Community Development and Communication Services assistant director Zaid Ahmad said the programmes will be implemented from July 16 to Sept 16.

"These programmes will be held in the state constituencies and selected community areas which will also involve the Malaysiaku Club set up in secondary schools in Kelantan," he said.

He said this to Bernama after the Merdeka Jalur Gemilang Kelantan 2023 Programme and the handover of the national flag, the Jalur Gemilang, to the Kelantan Merdeka Jalur Gemilang Convoy by the Perak State Convoy at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Jeli Campus, here, today.

The flag-off ceremony of the convoy comprising 66 high-powered motorcycles and vehicles was done by the Director of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Jeli Campus Prof Dr Aweng A/L Eh Rak.

Zaid said his department aims to implement all 200 programmes before Sept 16 in order to instill a sense of identity and love for the country in the community.

"This 66-vehicle convoy is part of a programme in the state of Kelantan that is carried out for two days starting today and tomorrow," he said. - BERNAMA
