Woman claims of being harassed by foreigner - Police
SERDANG - A woman claims she has been harassed by a foreign man since the beginning of the year.
Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner A A Anbalagan said the victim claimed that the man always came to her place of work at a convenience store in Taman Seri Serdang.
Apart from staring at the woman, he also allegedly caused the victim to experience emotional disturbance and discomfort.
"The victim also claimed to have changed workplaces because she was worried about the man’s actions, however he still came to her new workplace," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Anbalagan said the police were in the midst of locating the man involved in the incident.
"Further investigations related to this incident are underway and efforts have been made to track down the suspect.
"The case is being investigated under Section 507A of the Penal Code," he said.
On Monday, a woman uploaded a message on Twitter claiming to have been harassed by a foreign man at her workplace.
The man had allegedly stalked the victim, which caused fear in the victim.
