PUTRAJAYA - The Finance Ministry has denied a fake poster circulating on social media claiming that the government will grant a Madani Allowance to all civil servants.

The ministry said the poster, which states that the household allowance and incentive will be abolished and replaced with the Madani Allowance, is not true.

"The ministry advises all parties to be careful and not be easily deceived by such news on social media.

"Please follow the MOF's official channels and make sure that the link is valid and correct. If you are unsure, do not share the information," it said in a Facebook post today.

The fake poster also claimed that the Madani Allowance will be allocated at a minimum of RM800 per month to celebrate equality between states.

The MOF said that the first management meeting regarding the fixed remuneration and the salary scheme adjustment for civil servants was held this week.

However, a decision has yet to be made on the matter.

The ministry urged the public to be more discerning and rely only on official information.
