BAYAN LEPAS - The submission for the candidate nomination form has been closed, says Bayan Lepas Constituency Election Officer Mohd Hafiz Aswad Nadzri.
Candidates were given one hour to submit their nomination forms, from 9am until 10am, here at Dewan Bukit Beleh nomination centre.
Gerakan President Datuk Dr Dominic Lau was the first candidate to send in his nomination form at 9.03am followed by incumbent Azrul Mahathir Aziz at 9.07am.
Supporters from both Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional (PN) as well as members of media started to gather at the centre as early as 7.30am.
However, noticeably absent were Pas supporters, who were not there to cheer Lau, who represented PN, on.
