TikTok, Sinar Karangkraf to join forces to honour Malaysian content creators
SHAH ALAM - For the first time, TikTok will host the People's Choice TikTok Awards to honour Malaysian content creators to recognise and honour local content creators for making a significant impact on the platform.
To celebrate the event, Sinar Karangkraf, a leading media outlet, has joined forces with the social media giant as a strategic partner to support and celebrate the achievements of creative, inspiring and educational content creators.
Sinar Karangkraf Group's Head of Marketing and Branding, Nik Justin Nik Mohd Ariffin said a range of distinctive programmes have been meticulously planned to build excitement leading up to Aug 27.
"It will indirectly empower TikTok followers in a more positive direction.
He said Sinar Karangkraf's objective is to recognise the variety of educational content available on the platform and aligning with Sinar Karangkraf's objective to contribute towards the betterment of the society through content.
"We are just as excited to reach out to our digital young browsers and surfers," he said.
The TikTok Awards' People's Choice will feature various categories, including Creator Of The Year, Rising Star of The Year, Popular Creator of the Year, Celebrity of The Year, Popular Animation Account of The Year, LIVE Creator Of The Year and TikTok Shop Creator of the Year.
Nik Justin added that Sinar Karangkraf and TikTok started working together for the last three years and were among the first media owners to join the platform.
With anticipation mounting for the upcoming awards, Nik Justin hopes that the audience will eagerly anticipate the various specials and programmes leading up to the victory day on all Sinar Karangkraf platforms.
