SHAH ALAM - Pas has criticised Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's actions, who announced three Terengganu youth associations on the condition that the people vote for the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Barisan Nasional (BN) combination.

Its deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man pointed out that Zahid's announcement was a form of corruption before the state polls.

He stressed that the people are waiting for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to take action against the Umno president's statement, which is an outright act of corruption and contradicts the country's laws.

"The act of giving out bribes and financial contributions with the condition of voting for PH-BN is clearly corruption.

"Although several parties voiced their outrage and dissatisfaction on social media following the speech, "It also appears that the MACC has yet to publish a statement that differs from the initial condemnation of the opposition's activities.

"When the Kelantan government provided buses for the convenience of voters returning to the state to cast their ballots without any conditions being imposed on who to vote, this is also considered a corruption offence," he stated in a Facebook post on Sunday.

On Friday, Zahid announced grants of RM250,000 to the Terengganu Malaysia Youth Council, RM200,000 to motorcycle teams throughout the state, and RM100,000 to the Central Terengganu Development Authority (Ketengah) youth association.
