Police identify 5 individuals involved in viral assault video
IPOH - The police have identified five individuals involved in a viral assault video that took place at Batu 8, Jalan Tanjung Rambutan-Tambun, Ulu Kinta, recently.
According to Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan, all the suspects involved in the fight, captured in the viral video, are in their 30s.
He urged these individuals to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
"I cannot provide further details at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
"We are calling on all the individuals seen in the video to surrender to the police," he said when contacted today.
The incident, which Astro Awani reported on Saturday, showed a viral video of five local men fighting using clubs on the road in Tanjung Rambutan, Ulu Kinta.
Yahaya mentioned that the preliminary investigation suggests the incident occurred around 5.30pm on Thursday.
In the 17-second video, one man appears to have been assaulted by three individuals wearing helmets, with two of them using clubs. - AWANI
