SUNGAI BULOH - Selangor is one of the states with the most welfare programmes for its people under Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Mohd Khairuddin Othman who is the Selangor State Executive Councillor in charge of the State Younger Generation, Sports, and Human Capital Development, said there have been no issues with the state government cutting funds for the people.

But sadly, the programmes and plans prepared and implemented for the people simply did not reach them effectively, he added.

He said the information distribution system would be upgraded and streamlined to ensure that no one is denied such benefits.

"Selangor has always had good welfare programmes; the challenge is ensuring that information reaches the people who are in need the most.

"This is because not everyone knows the process of meeting a people's representative, and there are some people who still don't know how to use the internet to get information (on welfare initiatives)," he said at the Programme 'Ziarah Medik' at Paya Jaras Hulu, Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh Phase 1 and Phase 2 here.

Mohd Khairuddin had earlier met various senior citizens during the event to learn about their medical difficulties and hopes.

He said the visit was for the purpose of gathering information to expand and improve the welfare programme suitable for the group.

"I hope the next Menteri Besar will be able to devise a plan to assist the concerned group.

"Our goal with this Ziarah Medik programme is to inquire about the well-being of the people while also gathering feedback from them," he explained.

Mohd Khairuddin promises to continue empowering the people's welfare in Paya Jaras in accordance with his slogan, 'Kekal Berkebajikan', which he has upheld throughout his three terms.
