SEPANG - The police have confirmed that the exhibit store at the Sepang District Police Headquarters was broken into on Saturday.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, said they are currently investigating the matter.

"Yes, I can confirm that there was an incident; however, we are conducting further investigations," he said when contacted today.

Meanwhile, the Selangor Chief Police, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, said they are investigating the case under Section 457 of the Penal Code for break-in and theft.

Earlier, reports surfaced regarding the incident, which alleged that the exhibit store at the Sepang district police headquarters was broken into, resulting in several case items being taken by the criminals.

The reports also claimed that the investigation found the suspect broke in by cutting the wire on the store's fence and entering through a hole in the counter window of the store.
