GEORGETOWN - Over 40 candidates under the coalition of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) will hold a manifesto launch ceremony tomorrow at Butterworth Arena.

Penang DAP state secretary Lim Hui Ying said the ceremony would introduce all 40 candidates under the unity government coalition, with party leaders and supporters were expected to attend.

The programme would also disclose the manifesto of the unity government in conjunction of the upcoming state election.

"The aim of this programme is to introduce the candidate to the voters so that they can get to know more closely who the candidates are.

"This is a historic moment, where tomorrow will be the first appearance of a unity candidate through the combination of PH and BN on the same stage as a strong team.

"The unity government is committed in defending the states currently administered by PH in addition to winning three states under the administration of Perikatan Nasional (PN)," she said in a press conference at Wisma DAP headquaters here today.

Also present at the press conference were Jelutong Member of Parliament RSN Rayer and other leaders from PH and BN coalition.

The Election Commission (EC) has set Aug 12th as the polling day, and voters are eager to cast their ballots and make their voices heard.
