Rahmah Sports Initiative launched at Aeon Big to encourage sports

KLANG - The Rahmah Sports Initiative Programme has been launched by Aeon Big to encourage people to buy sports equipment at a cheaper price and be active in sports.
The initiatives will be held at sixteen Aeon Big branches nationwide to provide discounts at affordable prices.
The launch at Aeon BiG Klang was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh and Hypermarket Aeon BiG Malaysia Managing Director Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed.
More Rahmah Sports Initiatives will be launched on Oct 14 to mark the National Sports Day (HSN).
“Aeon Big is also sponsoring the Malaysian Football League, Selangor FC and 2023 National Base. With the collaboration of Selangor FC, Aeon BiG has provided basic necessities for supporters," Sheikh Farouk said.
He said sports was crucial as it teach teamwork, patience and hope, among other values.
"I am confident that there will be more cooperation between the ministry and Aeon Big in an effort to improve the outstanding achievements of youths in sports,” Sheikh Farouk added.
Yeoh said the government would finds ways to encourage citizens, especially youthx to be active in sports and stay fit.
“We want to encourage parents to avoid giving their children toys and encourage them to be active with sports," Yeoh added.
