Khaliq backs Sanusi, says he always fires back with facts
KEPALA BATAS - Perikatan Nasional (PN) Bertam candidate Khaliq Mehtab has backed caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, saying that the Jeneri candidate always fires back with facts.
In an exclusive interview with Sinar Daily, Khaliq said that Sanusi is a great political leader who was not afraid to speak the truth.
"Whatever attacks come his way, he always responds with facts. He is a man of facts and is not afraid to say them.
"In fact, he is fighting for the rights of the people. You know, I respect him, and he is a big icon in our party. Not just Kedahans, but Malays all over Malaysia admire him," he said.
Khaliq further elaborated that Sanusi's videos are very popular on social media.
"Every time you open TikTok, you see him. He can be a bit vocal, but that's just who he is. That's his passion, and he doesn't deny it.
Sanusi will be defending his incumbent state seat of Jeneri in a one-on-one electoral bout in the coming Aug 12 Kedah polls.
He will be contesting under PN and will be up against Barisan Nasional's (BN) Datuk Muhamad Khizri Abu Kassim.
"He's going to win big because he is the PN hero," Khaliq added.
